Justin Howes


Justin Howes (1963–2005) was a British historian of printing and lettering, curator of London's Type Museum, and author of Johnston's Underground Type, the standard study of Edward Johnston's iconic lettering for the London Underground. He also worked as a book and font designer and was completing a PhD at his death. The St Bride Foundation honors his legacy with the annual Justin Howes Memorial Lecture.
